Friends of Boundaries Surgery (FOBS)

What do you know about FOBS?

Did you know that all patients of Boundaries Surgery are deemed to be members of FOBS and are welcome to attend the AGM in May each year?

FOBS was formed back in the late 1980's to raise funds for the surgery to provide additional facilities for patients usually by taking part in local fetes and the annual village Gala Day. We still do this today - you may have baked for our very successful homemade cake stall at the Medstead Village Fete or attended one of our concerts at the church or Village Hall. Our fundraising with your support generates income in excess of £2,500 each year. You can make a personal donation, bequest or donation in memory of loved ones.

Why raise funds for the surgery?

To enhance the quality of care and to provide additional facilities for patients registered at Boundaries Surgery.

What does the money get used for?

Recent Purchases - Kardia mobile ECG analysis devices, an electronically adjustable couch in a treatment room, an additional fridge for our dispensary, the self-monitoring blood pressure machine and the pulse oximeter.

Services and facilities - purchase of the Check-in Screen and its ongoing licence fee, the maintenance contract for the portable oxygen cylinder (a FOBS purchase), high back chairs for the waiting room and books on coping with bereavement.

All of these assist the Surgery staff to provide better quality or more specialist care for patients of all ages. We are very grateful for all the support we receive - both from patients and from our local businesses who generously donate goods or services. And not forgetting those who attend the events we organise each year.

Please continue to support us and Boundaries Surgery
