Private Charges for Medical Work

We are asked to complete many forms and provide letters which are not required as part of our NHS patient care. This type of work can include insurance forms, holiday cancellation forms, passport signings and letters to schools or places of work where a medical certificate is not required. There are also fees charged for private prescriptions for medicines such as malaria prophylaxis and certain drugs unavailable on the NHS. With any private work we will provide an invoice for fees charged according to guidance from the British Medical Association (BMA). Please enquire at reception regarding the costs of private work before asking us to go ahead with it. A list of our private fees is available on request. We do not register patients for private medical care at Boundaries Surgery, except for the purpose of one-off insurance medicals.
